Well, joining us tonight is: are you ready donna, brazile former dnc chair fox business contributor, and it is great to see you donna welcome to the broadcast? It'S been a long time lou, but i hope all is well. Would you you betcha, i and i hope the same for you. I know one thing we're going to be talking about the same issues we were talking about all those years ago. I remember, and, and the fir ...
t is what in the world is a democratic party - think it's doing refusing to secure the nation, the nation's borders and to take control of illegal immigration? Well, first of all, you know going back to 2006 when george bush waspresident 2013, when barack obama was president democrats, especially democrats in the senate held votes. They were strong supporters of border security, advanced technology to protect our border at more border agents to ensure that those who were caught were apprehended. I do believe that we need a more comprehensive approach, perhaps talking with mexico. Over the next couple of days, we can come up with an approach that can secure mexico's southern board, as you know, only one-fifth of the people who are crossing that border actually apprehended. But i don't think people with a broad brush. I think that this is going to take a little bit more time for the president to make sure that congress workswith him and the vice president who is sitting down with mexico officials he's been the central america. We got to be a little bit more aggressive in dealing with the crisis down in mexico. Well, here we are with the national emergency. In a crisis, you mentioned 2006, two, six, two thousand six and seven the period of time in which comprehensive immigration reform it was then called the kennedy mccain act.

What blew that up was chained migration, family migration. If you wish extended family migration and the result is, we are, according to the latest study responsible study somewhere between 22 and 30 million illegal immigrants in the country, we don't have any more time and theway washington. Is you well know that kills kills any solution to try to make the problem ever larger? We have a security problem and we need to secure that border. Do you believe that, as i do that the democrats are going to pay a heavy price, so are they by the way the rino republicans going to pay a heavy price in 2020 for not securing that border? Look? I know that immigration is a big issue. A big topic of concern, many americans care about it. We are going to try, i think, on a democratic party side to get those talks back on on the table. We'Ve got to have a comprehensive approach to it. Lookwe can't just do a band-aid, we cannot call it just a wall and say go home. It has to be comprehensive if we're going to secure. This is a migration crisis. These are human beings who are running and fleeing violence. They'Re looking for safety and yes, i know the drug cartels and others are smuggling.

But this is a comprehend that you can't just say you can't just say you know: there's a little drug, there's 70,000 opiate overdose deaths in this country every year, because the majority of methamphetamines marijuana, heroin, cocaine, fentanyl, are crossing that mexican border. Absolutely some of them are crossing the border right in plain view: i'm not minimizing the risk. I'M notminimizing the danger, i'm saying that this migration crisis, this crisis that we're facing today is not going to get any better as long as we're just you know, calling people names, we've got a look central american leaders well person, i'm calling names by the way have Been the leadership at the republican senate, donna brazile, it's great to see you and i'm glad to see that we've reached such a really met over the years. You you and i got always taught because we learn from each other, but more of it thanks doc. There'S something we need to talk about, thank donna, brazile great, to have you here.
